As an international dance artist, I’ve often reflected on a paradox: I’ve performed and taught for audiences around the world who have received my work with great appreciation, while my own city has had little access to it—and, in many cases, little awareness of what I do.

The Worcester Dance Project

The Worcester Dance Project is a direct response to this.

It is a JSDDance initiative grounded in a simple but important idea:
that exceptional dance artists come from here, and that exceptional dance should also be experienced here.

What We Do

The Worcester Dance Project creates opportunities for local audiences to engage with high-quality dance through performances, workshops, and community-centered programming.

The “Wellness Through Dance” class is one of the first initiatives launched under this project, designed to connect movement, well-being, and community engagement.
